LAMASUS organised a special session during ERSA2024

LAMASUS is looking back at a successful ERSA2024 meeting.
A highlight was the special session on “The role of EU- and Regional Policy in Sustainable Land Use Management” that was organised by LAMASUS scientific coordinator Tamás Krisztin.
-During this session, LAMASUS researcher Klaus Mittenzwei talked about the reasons for differences in structural change between organic and conventional agriculture in Norway.
-Furthermore, Tamás Krisztin gave an update about the CAP across regions and the varied impact of agricultural subsidies on EU land use.
–Raja Chakir talked about Land Use Adaptation to Climate Change in Europe
Apart from these contributions, Anna Renhart presented a paper on land use in alpine regions, in which she discussed how farmers cultivating alpine pastures respond to subsidies.
